I created this with fun, adventure, and freedom in mind. It’s a large painting with huge brush strokes and tons of energy. I wanted the painting to evoke spontaneity and inspiration, and perhaps to encourage an adventure.
I love the beach and swimming, and I wanted a different perspective on the colours for a beach scene, so I predominantly used pink for the sand and green for the sky, with lots of flowers growing towards the sky.

Pink is the colour associated with passion and white’s purity, pink symbolises love, nurture and compassion. It evokes feelings of comfort, warmth and hope. Pink is also a sign of good health, as in the phrase “in the pink.” It symbolises success in the expression “everything is rosy” and happiness in the expression “tickled pink.”
Blue, by contrast, carries a profound spiritual resonance that transcends cultures and beliefs. It is often seen as the embodiment of tranquillity, wisdom, and depth—a colour that soothes the spirit and quiets the mind. As the hue of both sky and sea, blue evokes a sense of boundlessness and reminds us of the universe's infinite expanse, inviting us to contemplate our connection to something far greater than ourselves.
Spiritually, blue is the colour of introspection and calm, offering a sanctuary for inner peace and clarity. Many spiritual traditions associate blue with truth, communication, and the divine—reflected in the blue robes of deities or the tranquil blue auras said to surround those touched by serenity. To immerse oneself in blue—whether through art, the natural world, or moments of meditation—is to open the heart to intuition, inspiration, and spiritual awakening. Blue gently encourages us to look within, to listen with sincerity, and to trust the quiet wisdom that arises from the soul..

Green represents nature, growth, rebirth, health, hope, and many aspects of overall well-being. One senses a sense of belonging and tranquillity whenever one sees this soothing colour. It perfectly resonates with the natural cycle of birth, death, and rebirth, marked by transformation and new beginnings.
I'm also interested in timelines, and I wanted this painting to hint that things are not always as they appear, and that keeping an open mind and a childlike view of the world opens many possibilities.
Beach life is a bit upside down compared to the usual colours you would find at the beach, but it's meant to be a childlike expression of time at the beach.
This painting is now reduced £1200
