Kay Hare is a British oil painter based in Kent, trained at Central Saint Martins. Her work is held in private collections across the UK and Europe, and has been exhibited in London, Monaco, and Paris.
Kay works in oils on linen and canvas, creating paintings that range from intimate cabinet pieces to large-scale statement works. Each painting is built up in layers, developing a richness and depth that photographs can only partially capture. Her subjects draw from the natural world — birds, horses, botanical forms and landscape — rendered with a painterly freedom that makes them at home in both contemporary and traditional interiors.
She works directly with interior designers and architects, providing bespoke commissions and original works for residential, hospitality, and corporate spaces. Previous placements include Société Générale Private Bank Monaco, Tower 42 London, QBE Insurance London, Baker Tilley Accountants, and Suze Restaurant Mayfair.
